Culburra Beach fat bike tour

We are excited to launch our very first TOUR… take a fat-tyre bike, professional fitting, guided maps, a few local landmarks and a sense of an adventure and you have yourself a great day out.

Our self-guided tour offers some more guidance than dry hire, and takes visitors on a curated tour of Culburra Beach at low tide, with our local route maps and notes about features you’ll find on the way meaning it’s like having your own private tour guide, but without the bad jokes.

Start with a coffee in the community garden while we fit your custom bikes and helmets, before a brief orientation before you set out on your tour. Pedal all the way to Crookhaven Beach at the northern end of Culburra Beach, stopping along the way for a swim or spot of dolphin watching, before exploring the rockpools at ‘Crooky’. A short climb up the road away from the sand will bring you to the picturesque lookouts of the Marine Rescue Station and Crookhaven Heads, where 270-degree views of Crookhaven River and the ocean include some cultural learning from Aboriginal totem poles installed in the area. Take a short hike to Crookhaven Lighthouse, or make your own way back to you accommodation before we collect your bikes at a time that suits.

This tour can be booked online via TripAdvisor or Destination NSW websites, or directly through our web shop. Tours of up to six people can be organised, and we can even pack a delicious picnic or refreshments from our local caterers to make a day of it.

This tour is best taken at low tide, so ask us about the best time to book your tour on your next trip to Culburra Beach.
